Vet Rescues This Kitten From A Local Shelter, Then Sees This Inside His Ear

While Dr. Karri from Vet Ranch was visiting a local shelter as a usual routine check of the animals, she noticed the cutest little kitten staring at her. Speck, the kitten was simply too adorable not to be noticed.

Most of the kittens that are staying in the local shelter have some eye issues, and that’s why Dr. Karri took them all back to her clinic. She helps all kittens with a proper exam and medical treatment. But once she got to Speck, she noticed that there is something else that was wrong with him.

Once she started examining him, Dr. Karri got really concerned. She noticed something beyond strange and scary. We have to warn you that the images below graphic, proceed with caution!

What was wrong with Speck?

Speck’s ear is seriously infected and red. He would cry every time Dr. Karri touched it. It’s sad and painful to even watch these images.

So, once Dr. Karri started examining his ear more careful, she realized that the source of the inflammation was actually much deeper than she thought at first. Due to the fact that she wasn’t able to see what the problem was, Dr. Karri had to prepare Speck for emergency surgery!

While Speck was sleeping peacefully under the anesthesia, Dr. Karri was able to see the cause of the problem. The sad truth is that there was an insect larva buried deep into Speck’s head!

The good thing is that there was only one larva inside of Speck’s head and Dr. Karri managed to get the creature out of there. Even though it took a few minutes for Dr. Karri to take it out, she managed to extract it in one piece! The change is Speck’s behavior was viewable from the first moment he woke up! He was obviously feeling a lot better.

Dr. Karri admitted that she had never seen anything like this before, and that’s why she contacted the shelter and urged them to inspect all the animal cages to be sure nothing like that could happen again.
